Established by Richard Lord in 1998, Index has built its reputation through specialist knowledge, extensive market relationships and a hands-on approach to every assignment.
Our experience spans retail investment sales, shopping centres, large format retail, fast food and service stations, together with selected commercial property sales on the Gold Coast.
Today, Index provides sales, leasing, financial due diligence, advisory and valuation services to property owners, investors, owner-occupiers and developers throughout South East Queensland.
Richard Lord

Managing Director
Richard Lord has more than 40 years' experience in the property industry, with a career spanning property sales, leasing, valuation, development and project management.
A Certified Practising Valuer for more than 30 years, Richard brings a valuation and analytical perspective to property transactions, combined with extensive hands-on experience in retail leasing, investment sales and development.
Prior to establishing Index in 1998, Richard held senior roles with McDonald's Australia, JLL, Hillier Parker and Colliers,
Richard has particular expertise in shopping centres, large format retail, fast food and service stations and has been involved in more than 1,300 property transactions and over 75 retail projects.
His qualifications encompass business, property valuation, land economy and project management, including postgraduate studies in property development at QUT.
Richard has also undertaken property development in his own right, including the development of a 28-unit commercial and industrial complex near Brisbane Airport between 2008 and 2012.
In 2004 Richard was named the REIQ Commercial Agent of the Year for Brisbane.
